Lea’s Loft Art Studio has been my dream for as long as I can remember. However, the Lord’s plans took me via a 20 year detour as an accountant in the corporate world until it was time to turn my dream into reality. Everyone knows me as Melanie, but I was christened with my Grandmother’s names of which Lea is the first, hence the name of my studio and the signature on my art.

By the grace of God I survived breast cancer in 2015 and with the support of my wonderful husband Nic, I was able to start my own art studio at the end of 2016.  My husband and I have always been fascinated by the properties of glass, which lead to the decision for me to learn the art of glass fusing.
